Facility and Washroom Protocol

Bathroom Procedure:

The bathroom on the main floor will be available for emergency use only.  We are strongly recommending the bathroom only be used for emergency purposes.  If a player or coach has no option but to use the bathroom while they are attending their one hour session, here is the procedure:

• Inform your coach you have an emergency and must use one of the bathrooms stalls.

• The player (boy or girl) will proceed by themselves to the lower bathroom (girls washroom) where the main door will be open. Once entering the bathroom, the player will proceed to the stalls. Each stall will have a sign on the door indicating the stall is available.  When the player is finished using the washroom, they are to remove the sign/paper that indicates the stall is available.

• Only one person is allowed in the bathroom at all times unless an emergency arises where that isn’t possible (injuries, sickness etc.)

• No stall is to be used if there is not a sign on the stall door indicating it is available

• After washing your hands, you will proceed back to the gymnasium to the cleaning station where the coach will give you sanitizer.

• Coaches will have a procedure after their session which includes informing the next coach coming in how many stalls are still available

• Bathrooms will be cleaned every night after the final session

• If during the course of the day, the final available stall is used and there are no more available stalls, coaches are to follow the supplied CBA Bathroom Prep Procedure which has been given to them.

Water Fountain:

Closed and not to be used

Bleachers:

Off limits - no player or coach is allowed to have contact with the bleachers

Equipment Room:

Off limits - no player or coach is allowed to have contact with the bleachers

Hallway and Staircase:

Off limits - no player or coach is allowed in the hallways or staircase unless an emergency use of the bathroom is needed.

Front Entrance:

Off limits for all players and coaches UNLESS it is the coach who is opening up the gym

Summary:

For the exception of emergency situations where the bathroom is needed, players and coaches have no reason to touch anything in the Clearwater building except their personal belongings and the gymnasium floor.  CBA is hiring on-call cleaners for the washrooms every evening if the event that stalls are used during the day.  This is an added expense that we are prepared to incur however we are looking for support from our CBA families to help us in using the bathrooms only in emergency situations.
