CBA does not require players/families to pay an annual fee to be part of the club. Players/families can pick and choose which programs fit best for their situation, although there is no denying that participating in more CBA programs will only help the chance of improving and having an even greater impact on community, club and school teams.
Subject to change, here’s how we break down School programs:
***2018 program costs - subject to change***
|Elite Skills Training||Skills training focused on: ball handling & shooting, play making & basic 2x2/2x3 principles, game play. Players will be placed in groups based on ability.||1.5 hours per session||1-2 times per week||TBD|
|YYC Prep League||Teams from multiple clubs in Calgary and Southern Alberta will play in formal games with referees and scoreboard. This league will improve player development, create an even stronger basketball community and keep players more closely aligned to their clubs during the fall. Since players will be training with their clubs throughout the fall, Prep League teams will not practice or have a designated coach (a coach will sit on the bench and provide mentorship). An emphasis will be placed on “play”, with coaches supervising games and encouraging the young men to apply the skills they are developing through their club training.||1 game per week||8 games||$200 + GST, includes YYC Prep League reversible jersey|
High school players break from club basketball during the winter months for high school basketball (under the high school athletics regulations, players are not allowed to play organized basketball outside of high school ball during the high school season of play). However, strength, conditioning, agility and speed training will continue to be offered through the winter
|U16, U17, U18 Spring League Teams||Club teams that play in the Genesis League, as well as tournaments. We have one top team per age group. Tryouts typically are in January with the season running from March to mid-July.||50+ hours of practice and 20+ games (combination of tournaments, league and exhibition games).||Weekly. Two team practices, one ball handling or shooting session, plus games per week.||$1,200 + GST - Includes a $100-125 clothing package for each player, 2 coaches per team, coaches’ costs for two out of town tournaments, funding for league fees and 4 tournament entry fees. 100% of fees paid go to the team that the participating child plays on.|
